MANUSCRIPT MUSEUM
In Design Studio III of the Bachelor program, we were tasked with developing a conceptual museum. The project site is a 1,2000 m² plot located between two significant cultural institutions in Tehran—the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Carpet Museum of Iran. The proposed museum is envisioned as a repository of Iranian philosophical and literary heritage. Its formal concept is derived from the hermeneutical spiral, a philosophical method of interpretation in which understanding is achieved through a continuous, deepening process. Translated into spatial terms, this idea becomes a spiraling path that guides the visitor from an initial encounter with the collection toward progressively deeper levels of engagement with the museum’s content.
