TEDJARAT BANK REVITALIZATION

Tejarat Bank in central Tehran is one of the city’s earliest bank buildings, originally designed and constructed in the 1930s. The original three story structure was organized around a basilica inspired spatial form. Over the decades, uncoordinated alterations to its installations and building services gradually compromised the integrity of the building, limiting its functionality and leading to long term disuse. In 2010, Emarat Khorshid Company undertook the responsibility of revitalizing the building. After seven years of restoration, the project was prepared for submission to the Memar Award 2017. The presentation strategy focused on creating a comprehensive virtual model that reconstructed the bank and documented its transformation through time within a single digital environment..

I was honored to be invited to lead the modeling of this elaborate building. It became one of the most challenging projects I have worked on, with its many layers of historical and architectural complexity. The process strengthened my ability to work with precision and sharpened my attention to detail.
